We are proud to announce a hackathon of the OpenWebSearch.eu research project, where you can design and develop your own personal search engine.

What:
Enrich and build an alternative web search solution

We offer access and instruction to use our technical infrastructure that consists of an open web index and the open source MOSAIC framework. This enables you to build an alternative web search solution with new features and your ideas. The MOSAIC website provides a general overview and the MOSAIC developer guide explains how to use MOSAIC to create search applications.

Possible tasks:

Organisation and Participation

The hackathon is organised by the CoDiS Lab, a research group of the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science at Graz University of Technology.

You will work in a small team (2-4 people). At the end of the hackathon each team will present the result in the plenary assembly.

Registration

Participation is free, but you need to register to the event (Deadline: 22 May 2024). There is a limitation of a maximum number of 30 participants. You will get a confirmation email a few days after registration.
